World Parks Congress: calling all young media champions!

If you're young, love the planet and the media and want to help spread the word about the importance of our protected areas, we want to hear from you! We are looking for Young Media Champions to join the Young Peoples Media Coalition (YPMC).

The Coalition aims to provide coverage of the World Parks Congress from the unique perspective of young people and invites those under the age of 35 with experience in digital and traditional media to contribute to the Congress.

Young media champions will work together in collaboration with existing media partners and the World Parks Congress communications personnel to produce engaging content for, and by youth. This is a unique opportunity for young people to be a part of their own movement that impacts the way their peers look at Protected Areas on a global scale.

The YPMC is a partnership of the IUCN WPCA Young Professionals, IUCN Task Force on Intergenerational Partnership for Sustainability, IUCN CEC, Parcs Canada, The Starfish Canada, and Sustainability Leaders Network.

If you are interested, contact the YPMC Coordinator Tomasz Wiercioch at for more information.
