MedPAN issues first monthly newletter

The new secretariat of MedPAN, the network of managers of Marine Protected Areas in the Mediterranean, is pleased to share with you its first monthly newsletter that highlights some of the information posted on www.medpan.org.

Born in 1990, the MedPAN network brings together the managers of Mediterranean MPAs and supports them in their management activities. Now a legally independent structure based in France, MedPAN teams up with partners to deliver on its objectives.

Marie Romani, Executive Secretary, Magali Mabari, Communications Officer and their three interns have been driving the MedPAN network since the beginning of the year according to the strategy and action plan validated during the General Assembly of December 2009.

In 2010, the team works specifically on the development of the Mediterranean MPA directory, the organization of a regional workshop at the end of the year, and the set up of strategic partnerships.

The web site is currently being updated and numerous changes can already be found. A new site, better suited to the needs of the network, will be launched during the first part of next year. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to publish information on MedPAN's website.
